Dear Applicant, Thank you for your interest in house cleaning work. It is a requirement that you understand what you are applying for. Clients that need house cleaners are people with high standards that have spent lots of money on their homes and need someone to help maintain high standards. So you must be a competent cleaner, and most importantly you must be someone who is willing to take criticism and be corrected. You must also be trustworthy as you will have access to people’s homes mostly in their absence. Finally this job requires you to be conscientious and attend as you promise.   Assuming you are ok with all this, then we would appreciate if you can complete the attached form and return as soon as possible. Try not to leave gaps and to provide full names, telephone numbers and full addresses for your referees, work experience and next of kin details. Insufficient information will delay your application.   You can return the form by email, that is also fine. You can also scan your ID, photos, proofs of address if possible.     We interview all cleaners in their own homes just to double confirm their address. This is for security reasons as we will be giving you keys to access private homes. When we meet, please have the following with you:  
  • Two proofs of address – proofs of address must be no older than 3 months.
  • Copies of your proofs of address for us to keep on your files.
  • Your passport
  • Copy of the passport for us to keep
  • Small passport photo
  • Names and addresses of two referees- referees must not be family or friends
  Money is paid directly to you by the client and is usually in cash but can be direct transfer or cheque if you prefer. You will be working as self employed, and the money you earn will unlikely hit the tax threshold, especially given that you will deduct fuel costs etc. Can explain further upon meeting.   We will give you work according to your availability. Some jobs will be regular and some are one offs. When you take on regular jobs, these jobs will then become your regular daily, weekly or monthly jobs depending on the arrangement. What we need from you is  reliability, you cannot take on a job this week, and then not go the following week or swap days etc. Of course, there is room for you taking time off or swapping days, but you need to at least maintain a routine and be reliable. The more reliable you are, the more work you will get.  It’s not very nice of us to keep introducing to the client, a different cleaner each week. The work in itself is easy, and we will provide you with all the info/training you need.
