I know with January well behind us, the time for new resolutions is over but how about use the beginning of the month as a starting point to commit yourself to actually begin using reusable bags? I had a recent post on going paperless, and using reusable bags is another way to fight the clutter. It is one sure way of ensuring clutter from making it’s way into your home in the first place.

 Most kitchen cupboards and utility rooms are filled with plastic bags that will never be used. This is clutter that can be avoided by using reusable bags. Not just collecting them but actually using them.

 How many times have you got to the supermarket checkout only to realise that your reusable bags are at home. It happens to me many times, and the way round this is to always ensure that your reusable bags are always in the car. That way you can actually use them when you need them.

Reusable bags don’t just apply to supermarket shopping, it can be any kind of shopping. These days there are a variety of reusable bags to suit every taste. So if you are worried about reusable bags cramping your style then you need not be. There are yellow ones, pink ones, blue etc. A simple search online can take you to the bag that is just right for you.

What’s more by using reusable bags you will be doing a tremendous job in reducing the amount of plastic bags that end up polluting our environment.

 I am setting myself a new resolution to mend my ways and bags are in the car now 🙂 Yes, I know it is in March but as they say, it is never too late to start!
